Prank On Beau // Janoskians



Summary: The twins Luke and Jai decide to prank their older brother Beau in the first instalment of their sure to be epic prank war.

Enjoyability: This video was okay, it was neither good nor bad which isn't exactly a good thing. There was nothing wrong with the video; it was a light hearted prank which should have meant I was crying with laughter but much like Beau's reaction I was like 'mehh'. I honestly don't think you'd miss out on anything if you didn't watch the video and I can basically explain what happened in one sentence. // Luke and Jai decide to prank Beau by putting lots of post it notes on his car with the words twintalktime written on it, this was done while they wore animal suits and did various moves which somewhat resembled dancing// 



Comparison to other videos: I know the janoskians pride themselves on "failing" in their videos but this really was one, I genuinely can't understand how some people found this to be funny, I think the only people that did are hardcore janoskian stans. Anyway the premise of the video wasn't bad and neither was the execution it was mostly the fact that Beau didn't have an extreme reaction which let the video down. Which is quite surprising considering the over the top nature of the janoskians videos. They have quite a few prank videos on their channel and I think this was one of the least successful, because they put so much effort into it just to get such  a lukewarm response.



Originality: When you think of classic YouTube some people think gaming, challenges or beauty but another thing that is a staple of YouTube is prank videos. This is such a huge market these days that to really stand out you need to go big or go home. There are whole channels dedicated to pranking that have higher production budgets and more planning so compared to those this isn't all that great or unique. Sticking post it notes on things such a rooms or cars has even been done before in TV so this is in no way original and is just a revamped version of a classic prank.



Overall: I really didn't enjoy this video all that much but that's not to say that it's not good, they did add some creativity with the way they shot the video and with the whole animal theme but this is not enough to make it stand out in my mind. This is the kind of video you forget straight after you watch it so this gets a 4/10.
