Are They Still Funny? Cardi B Edition




The evolution of Cardi B is certainly an interesting one. In many ways she's gone from being a five star 'ratchet, about my schmoney instagram chick' to a slightly less ratchet but still about her coins reality TV star. Despite her recent rise to fame, Cardi has kept true to her roots and consistent with the instagram videos. But are they still funny? is the real question.                                                                                                                                                                                                    
The short answer to this is hell yeah! as you can see in the compilation video above, Cardi will always be Cardi but you can tell that while her content has remained mostly unchanged there is a slight difference to her. As we all know being on your grind is tough and there's a certain type of hunger you have in your belly when your up and coming that always seems to fade when you make it big and Cardi is no exception to this. It's been awhile since Cardi was just that "stripper hoe" from New York and she's evolved into quite the businesswoman and rapper, gaining a lot of new fans from her mixtapes 'gangsta bitch volume 1 and 2'. Despite this Cardi continues to make us die on IG and create lit catchphrases on Love and Hip Hop New York so clearly the fame isn't affecting her that much.                                                                                                                

Also her style has definitely developed from ' random hoodrat' to a 'reality tv star/ Instagram thottie' type look and then just altogether sexy and fabulous, personally I think Cardi slays both styles. There's always been something soo relatable and real about Cardi and I hope she doesn't get watered down from her true authentic self in the future. For now though she's gonna keep slaying and making us laugh on IG with her hoe chronicles and teaching girls that good knowledge on how not to get played by these boys.

Uni is a unique time when you are surrounded by like minded individuals who all want to make something of their life. So naturally you'll see a lot of people having businesses, being athletes, aspiring singers, models etc and in this midst of so much success it can be disheartening in a way.
